Backlink checker

Use this backlink checker to find referring domains in the Common Crawl web graph. Compare two sites and export the returned list, with dataset limits shown.

Stored public graph data. No live crawl or AI calls.

Free, no account. Ten checks per hour.

A backlink checker helps you find websites that link to your domain. This free tool reads the Common Crawl domain graph, counts referring domains and lists up to 100 with their AIGROW Authority Score. Compare two domains using the same release. Coverage is limited to the crawl; individual pages, anchors and link attributes are unavailable.

How the backlink checker works

One link per referring domain
The graph joins links between registrable domains, so ten links from one website count as one referring domain. Paths and subdomains are grouped. Sites on shared platforms, such as name.github.io, cannot get separate results.
Strongest 100, with the full observed count
For a complete snapshot, we count all unique external referring domains before keeping the 100 strongest. Referrers are ordered by harmonic centrality rank, using the same logarithmic score as our authority checker. Equal ranks use the graph vertex order. A sample snapshot reports partial counts and is labelled.
A dated graph, with gaps
Common Crawl records part of the public web. Its release date describes the snapshot, not when a link first appeared or whether it still exists. The domain graph cannot show anchors, source pages, target pages, nofollow status or all your backlinks. A missing domain means no result in the available snapshot.
Compare and keep the evidence
Both domains use the same snapshot. The shared URL saves your inputs, so a later check may use a newer dataset. CSV contains the returned domain rows, including rows behind Show all, with scores, release and sample status. It is limited to the stored list of up to 100 referrers per domain.

About this backlink checker

No. It shows domain relationships found by Common Crawl. A complete snapshot counts the referring domains in that graph and returns up to 100 of the strongest. It cannot identify individual links, and websites outside the crawl can be missing.

No. AIGROW Authority Score uses Common Crawl harmonic centrality ranks on a 0 to 100 logarithmic scale. Ahrefs and Moz use their own crawlers and formulas. Scores from these tools are not interchangeable and do not predict rankings or AI recommendations.

The crawlers, coverage and aggregation differ. This graph counts unique domain pairs rather than page links. Use Search Console for links to a site you own, and check important links on their source pages before acting on them.

The backlink graph may be unavailable or your domain may be absent from the available snapshot. Authority can still be checked against the smaller stored rank lookup. Missing data is shown as unavailable rather than a zero count. Try again later.

Yes. Compare up to two domains per request and download the returned list as CSV. Checks require no account and are limited to ten requests per hour per visitor address. This tool reads stored public data and does not crawl the websites you enter.
