Check what assistants find about your business

This free local business schema generator writes a JSON-LD block with your business name, address, phone, hours and profile links. Choose Organization for a business with no place customers visit, or a LocalBusiness type for a local business. Copy the code into your website and check it with the linked validators.

How this works

Choose the business type
Use the closest available type, such as Dentist, Restaurant or Plumber. Organization leaves out the address and opening hours. Local business types can include both.
Use your actual details
Fill in the details shown on your website. Empty fields are left out. Website, logo and profile addresses must start with http:// or https://. Invalid addresses are marked and left out of the code.
Group days with the same hours
Set each day to open or closed. Open days with matching opening and closing times share one openingHoursSpecification entry. Closed days are left out. The times describe your local business hours.
Copy and check the block
The code is built in your browser from the fields you fill in. Copy it into the page about your business, then use the Schema.org validator to check the markup. Google’s Rich Results Test checks eligibility for supported search features.

Questions about business structured data

LocalBusiness structured data is a block of named fields that describes a business using the Schema.org vocabulary. JSON-LD is the format used here. It states details such as the business name, address, telephone, opening hours and links to profiles.

Choose Organization for a business with no place customers visit. Choose LocalBusiness, or the closest subtype such as Dentist or Restaurant, for a local business. Use the type that describes what your business actually does.

Put the script block in the head of your homepage, or any page about that business. Use one block per business and keep its details consistent with the visible page. If your website already has business structured data, update that block with the details you want to use.

The block states your name, address, phone, hours and profiles in a form machines can read without guessing. It does not guarantee a mention or a recommendation. Assistants also use the pages, listings and other sources they can find about your business.
