Press release generator

Fill in the facts and this press release generator puts them in newswire order, then checks the length, headline and style against the rules PR Newswire, Business Wire, EIN Presswire and PRLog publish.

Free, no sign-up. Runs in your browser, with no AI calls.

Fields marked optional can stay empty. An empty part is left out of the release and listed under it.

The news

0 characters. PR Newswire and PRLog allow 100 characters, Business Wire 250.

Example: Refill Club Monthly

Example: a monthly refill service for cleaning products in Leeds

Example: from Nov. 3 at refillclub.example

One sentence on why readers should care, in your own words.

One paragraph per line: facts, figures with their source, background.

Dateline

A US state becomes its AP abbreviation, such as Calif. or N.Y. Cities that AP datelines name alone, such as Chicago, get no state.

Leave it empty to use today’s date.

Quote

Words the person said or approved. The generator never writes a quote. Leave it empty to build the release without one.

About and contact

The About paragraph that closes the release. Write one with the boilerplate generator

Fill in the news, the dateline and the company, then build the release. Checks against the newswire rules appear under it.

Press releases

See the service

A press release puts the news first: a headline that names the company, a dateline with the city and date, then a lead that says who did what, when and why. PR Newswire suggests 300 to 500 words and EIN Presswire 300 to 800. The release ends with the company boilerplate, a media contact and ###.

How to use this tool

Newswire order
The release follows the order PR Newswire and Business Wire show in their templates: For Immediate Release, headline, optional subheadline, dateline, lead, supporting paragraphs, quote, About section, media contact and the ### end mark.
Your words only
Every sentence comes from a field you fill in, through a fixed template for each release type. A field you leave empty is left out and listed under the result, never filled with brackets or made up. The quote is always the one you enter.
Length
Words are counted from the headline to the About section, without the contact block. PR Newswire gives 300 to 500 words (AP style guide, September 30, 2024), EIN Presswire 300 to 800 (editorial guidelines, December 2, 2025) and PRLog about 450 body words in at least two paragraphs.
Style
AP style as PR Newswire describes it: one to nine spelled out, figures from 10, no serial comma, and the dateline city in capitals with the AP state abbreviation. From EIN Presswire’s rules: no exclamation marks, no words in capitals, no you or we outside quotes and at most one link per 100 words.
Your text stays here
The release is built in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server or stored, and there is no share link, because a release carries a phone number and an email address.

PR Newswire: How to Write an AP Style Press Release

Questions before you start

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE at the top, then the headline and an optional subheadline. The first paragraph opens with the dateline, city and date, and answers who, what, when, where and why. Supporting paragraphs and a quote follow, then the About section, the media contact and ### to mark the end.

PR Newswire suggests 300 to 500 words, EIN Presswire accepts 300 to 800, and PRLog suggests a body of about 450 words. Prezly advises no more than 500. The generator counts your release and shows where it sits against each range.

No. A quote has to come from the person named beside it, so the form asks for their words, name and title and formats them the AP way. A release without a quote is still built, and the quote is listed as missing.

Product or service launches, events, partnerships, awards, new hires and studies. Each type asks for the facts its first sentence needs, such as the venue and date of an event or the method and main finding of a study.

Pick a draft language and the fixed sentences, labels and date follow it, in any of the 11 languages the site supports. Length, contact and link checks run in every language. The AP style, hype and you or we checks use English word lists, so they run on English drafts only.
