Product schema is a JSON-LD block that gives Google a product’s name, images, price, currency, availability and identifiers, plus its shipping and return details. With it, a product page can appear in results with its price and stock. This free generator writes the block, verifies the GTIN check digit and lists any required property still missing.
How this works
- Price and currency come first
- Merchant listings need a name, at least one image, and an offer with a price above 0 and a currency code. Write the price in digits, with a dot or a comma before the cents. A price with a thousands separator, such as 1,299, could mean two different amounts, so it is left out until you rewrite it.
- Identify the product
- A GTIN is the number under the barcode. The generator checks its length and check digit and writes it as gtin8, gtin12, gtin13 or gtin14, the specific property Google prefers. An SKU cannot contain spaces. Add the brand, and the condition when the product is used or refurbished.
- Shipping and returns
- Google prefers one shipping policy and one return policy for the whole store, set in Organization markup or in Merchant Center. Add them here only when this product is different. Shipping needs a destination country, a cost and a delivery time. A return policy needs the countries and the return window.
- Ratings follow Google’s review rules
- The ratings section stays off until you turn it on. Use it only for reviews by real customers that visitors can read on the page. Google does not allow reviews copied from other sites, fake reviews, or rewarded reviews that are not disclosed. When the page shows several reviews, add the average and the number of ratings.
