Redirect checker

Use this redirect checker to inspect HTTP chains for up to 100 URLs. Compare crawler and browser responses, then review loops and canonical conflicts.

Free, no account. Up to 100 URLs per run. Five bulk runs per hour, within the shared ten-check technical limit.

HTTP or HTTPS, public domains only. Scheme-less URLs use HTTPS. Paths and query strings are preserved.

GET requests from AIGROW servers, with an identifying scan suffix and no cookies or login. Crawler presets change the user agent, not the source IP. A difference here does not prove what the real crawler receives. Google-Extended is a robots.txt token only, so it has no request preset.

A redirect checker follows HTTP Location headers and records status codes, destinations, headers and timings. Check up to 100 public URLs, compare crawler and browser chains, or test domain variants. This tool respects robots.txt, flags static HTML redirect candidates and provides CSV evidence. It cannot execute JavaScript or prove what a real crawler receives.

How to use this checker

Choose URLs and a user agent
Paste one URL, up to 100 lines, or upload TXT/CSV. Pick a browser or crawler preset. Use site variants to test HTTP, HTTPS, www and non-www, plus slash consistency for the supplied path.
Read the evidence and fix the rule
Expand each row for status codes, Location, response time and key headers. Mark permanent moves to flag temporary redirects. A browser comparison shows observed differences from our server IP. Export the received evidence as CSV.
Check the limits before drawing conclusions
Robots exclusions, network failures, eight redirects, a 20-second chain ceiling and a 45-second run ceiling stop a chain. HTML detection uses the first 128 KB. A check link shares the inputs for a new run, not a saved result.

Limits per run: three workers, eight redirects per chain, 20 seconds per chain, 45 seconds total, 600 requests and 8 MB of sampled body data. Final HTML is sampled to 128 KB. Robots policies are checked on each origin. No page bodies, cookie values or arbitrary request headers are returned.

Meta refresh and literal JavaScript navigation are static candidates only. Conditional scripts, external scripts and rendered navigation are not evaluated. Timings cover response headers, not page rendering. Check links share inputs for a new run; CSV preserves the received evidence.

Questions about this checker

It flags literal location assignments and location.assign or location.replace calls in inline scripts, plus HTML meta refresh targets. These are static candidates. It does not execute scripts, follow these targets, download external scripts or evaluate conditional navigation.

The requests use representative crawler user agents from the AIGROW server IP, with an identifying scan suffix. They are not real crawler requests. A firewall can verify crawler IPs, so a difference is evidence to investigate in your rules, not proof of how that crawler sees the site. Google-Extended is a robots.txt token only.

The checker stopped at a loop, missing Location header, private destination, robots exclusion, unavailable policy, network error or run ceiling. The row retains received hops and an owner-readable fix. Its last URL is not a verified final destination.

They are appropriate for temporary moves. Select permanent-move intent only when the URLs should move permanently; then the checker flags 302, 303 and 307 for review. Use 301 or 308 for an intended permanent move. This check cannot predict search rankings.

CSV includes every received hop, key headers, original check times, findings and browser comparisons. Copy check link shares the URL list and settings for a fresh run. Very long lists should be shared as CSV. No report is stored behind a public share URL.
