What the Index shows about Claude

2,580 pages of the October 2026 edition, in 44 categories and 108 places, each question asked with no web search.

  1. Named nobody in 57.9% of its answers about local trades

    That is 8,534 of 14,732 answers about trades in a city. Software questions almost always got names: 1 of 1,440 answers named nobody.

  2. With web search, it read trustpilot.com most and never reddit.com

    In the October 2026 AI Source Map, Claude read trustpilot.com in 17.8% of its 680 answers with web search. It averaged 1.7 searches and 6.6 sites read per answer. ChatGPT read reddit.com in 89.4% of its answers.

  3. Named the most-named business on 47.9% of pages

    On each Index page one business was named more often than any other, counting all the assistants. Claude named it on 1,237 of 2,580 pages.

On 1,755 pages, Claude was asked once instead of three times. Its counts are lower than the others', so use shares for comparisons.
