CPM calculator

Use this CPM calculator to solve cost, impressions or CPM. Add measured reach or an average frequency estimate, then compare delivery scenarios.

Free, no sign-up. Runs in your browser, with no AI calls.

CPM is campaign cost divided by impressions, multiplied by 1000. Enter any two of cost, impressions and CPM to calculate the third. Divide impressions by unique reach for average frequency, or use your own frequency estimate to plan reach. Compare scenarios and copy the formulas with your result.

Your inputs

Use your own campaign data. Business fields start empty. Inputs can be up to one trillion; use this language’s decimal separators. Currency follows the page language, without conversion.

Reach and frequency

Optional funnel counts and known rates

Add clicks and conversions, or a known rate to solve a missing count. These use one conversion per click. Derived counts are estimates and may be fractional.

Choose a change above zero and up to 100 percent. The table uses your value below and above the current input, holding other inputs constant. These are scenarios, not forecasts.

How to use this tool

Choose the value to calculate
CPM divides cost by impressions and multiplies by 1000. Cost multiplies CPM by impressions and divides by 1000. Impressions divides cost by CPM and multiplies by 1000. Counts derived from a price quote are estimates. A dividing value of zero is undefined.
Separate impressions from unique people
Average frequency divides impressions by unique people reached in the same period. Reach divides impressions by your estimated average frequency. A frequency cap does not provide that average. Platform audience models and viewability rules can differ from this simple arithmetic.
Keep one campaign scope
Use cost, impressions, distinct clicks and conversions from the same reporting window. This model assumes at most one click per impression and one conversion per click. Fractional attributed counts are accepted.
Calculate the available ratios
CPM = cost / impressions × 1000. CPC = cost / clicks. CPA = cost / conversions. CTR = clicks / impressions × 100. Conversion rate = conversions / clicks × 100. A zero denominator leaves that metric undefined.
Supply an independent relationship
A missing count needs a known ratio connecting it to a count you entered. For example, clicks and conversion rate determine conversions. Without that relationship, the missing count stays unknown. Inconsistent supplied ratios produce an error.

Questions before you start

Cost, impressions and clicks do not tell you how many people converted. Enter CPA or conversion rate as an additional measured or assumed relationship. Any count derived from an assumption is an estimate.

Compare campaigns with matching currency, attribution and reporting windows. A cheaper click says nothing about customer quality by itself. Review CPA and customer value alongside it.

No. A cap limits repeated delivery under the platform rules; it does not give average frequency. Enter measured unique reach to calculate average frequency, or enter an average frequency assumption to estimate reach. Use matching campaign periods.
