An elevator pitch is a short spoken introduction: who you help, their problem, what you do, why you and a clear next step. At 140 words a minute, 30 seconds is about 70 words. This generator builds 30, 60 and 90 second versions from your answers and shows the word count and speaking time of each.

What to say

Written to follow “You know how”, such as “small restaurant owners”.

Written to follow who you help, such as “lose bookings when nobody answers”.

Written to follow “we”, such as “answer every call and book the table”.

Such as “we only work with restaurants”.

Written to follow “For example”, such as “a pizzeria we work with”.

One or two sentences on why you started or a customer you helped.

Written to follow “It works like this”, such as “calls come to us after three rings”.

How to use this tool

The parts of a pitch
Your name, who you help, their problem, what you do, what makes you different, an example or result, how it works, a short story and the next step you ask for. HubSpot’s guide uses a similar order. Each answer fills a fixed sentence, so the words stay yours.
Three lengths
The 30 second version keeps the problem, the offer and the ask. The 60 second version adds what makes you different and the proof. The 90 second version adds the story and how it works.
Word count and timing
Speaking time is the word count divided by your pace. The default of 140 words a minute follows HubSpot’s guide of about 140 words for one minute. Choose from 120 to 160 to match how you speak. A version more than a tenth over its time shows how many words to cut.
Practice
Start the timer and say a version out loud. The checks also list long words you use three times or more, and words a listener cannot check, such as best or leading.
Copy, print or share
Copy the result as text, download it as a .txt file, or print it and save it as a PDF from the print dialog. The share link keeps your answers after the # sign in the address, a part browsers do not send to the server.

Questions before you start

Usually 30 to 60 seconds, which HubSpot puts at about 75 to 140 words. Keep a 90 second version for meetings where the listener asks for more.

With one next step the listener can say yes to: a short call, an email with details, a visit or an introduction. Pick one in the form or write your own.

Learn the order and the main phrases. Practice with the timer until each version fits, then change the opening for the person you are talking to.

No. The page fills fixed sentence templates with your answers in your browser. No AI model is called and nothing is saved on a server. The share link carries your answers in the address, so anyone who has the link can read them.
