Open Graph checker

Preview a shared link across nine platforms, inspect OG and X image headers, find duplicate tags and copy a corrected head block.

Free, no account. Ten site checks per hour.

Our server reads the page and up to four preview images, subject to robots.txt. Results can be cached for five minutes.

An Open Graph checker reads the metadata used for shared link previews. This free tool simulates nine platforms, shows which tags each preview uses, and checks image reachability, format, pixel dimensions and file size. It flags missing or duplicate tags and supplies a replacement block, with dated rules and official refresh guidance.

How to use this checker

Enter the page you share
We read the server’s HTML head and respect robots.txt for AiGrowScan, including redirects. Tags inserted by JavaScript are outside this check. Existing request limits and a five minute cache apply.
Check the image
We inspect up to four distinct OG, X and fallback images, with a 1 MB cap each and a shared 30 second request budget. PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF and AVIF dimensions come from header bytes. Unread dimensions and estimated file sizes stay labelled.
Read the preview with care
Switch between Google, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, WhatsApp, iMessage and Telegram. Every card shows its tag sources, editing targets and refresh guidance. Undocumented selection rules and crop sizes are labelled as simulations.

Questions about this checker

Apps cache their own previews. Publish the corrected tags and use Facebook Sharing Debugger or LinkedIn Post Inspector to request another scrape. Each preview links to its official refresh tool or guidance. Refreshing metadata may affect only new posts.

1200 by 630 pixels is a common starting point. X large cards use a 2 to 1 crop in the legacy rules; LinkedIn recommends 1200 by 627. Keep text away from the edges and check each simulated crop. Header dimensions alone do not prove that every crawler will accept the image.

Legacy X documentation specifies Twitter metadata before the matching Open Graph values. Add twitter:card for the card type. The checker reads a separate X image when present, and the generator can preserve separate X title, description and image values.

The Open Graph protocol uses URL values. Publish complete HTTPS image addresses to avoid crawler differences. This checker resolves relative addresses against the final page URL for inspection and flags them, along with HTTP images on HTTPS pages.
