What should the code open?

Colors, logo and print settings

Contrast: 19.4:1. Keep dark modules on a light, opaque background. Exports require at least 7:1, a conservative check rather than a scan guarantee.

Keep the blank border intact. Rounded modules retain square finder and alignment patterns. Test decorative codes on several phones.

M suits clean everyday prints. Q or H tolerates more damage but makes the pattern denser. Recovery percentages refer to codewords, not an area you can safely cover.

How to use this tool

Choose what to encode
Choose one of nine content types. Websites require HTTP or HTTPS. Wi-Fi stores a network name and password; contact cards use vCard 3.0. Email and SMS open drafts in compatible scanners. Google reviews reuse our review-link parser, without requesting data from Google.
Keep the code easy to scan
Use dark modules on a light background. Exports require a conservative 7:1 color contrast and keep at least four blank modules around the symbol. A logo switches correction to H and is limited to 14% of the symbol width. Rounded modules keep function patterns square. Always test the final design.
Size and download
PNG width can be 256 to 4,096 pixels, with at least four pixels per module. Frames add height. SVG scales for print and embeds the logo. The print guide estimates a starting size from scan distance and pattern density. Use a physical proof in the actual lighting before printing a batch.

Questions before you start

These static QR codes never expire and have no scan limit or subscription. The content is inside the image, with no AIGROW redirect. A linked website can still move or disappear. Some dynamic QR providers deactivate their redirects after a free trial; these codes do not depend on such a service.

The encoded content is fixed. Generate a new code when it changes. If you own the encoded website URL, you can update the page at that address. This tool does not count scans or manage dynamic redirects.

Use a Place ID, a Maps URL containing a Place ID, or a g.page review link. Short Maps share links and coordinate-only links do not expose a usable Place ID. The Google review link tool gives instructions. Check the business before printing and invite honest feedback from every customer.

Start with the larger of 20 mm, one tenth of the scan distance, or 0.4 mm per module including the border. This is a practical estimate, not a guarantee. Dense contact cards, logos, poor lighting and reflective surfaces can require more space. Download SVG or sufficient PNG pixels and scan a printed proof.

The generator processes the payload and logo in your browser without a server request or saved project. Anyone scanning a Wi-Fi code can read its password, so use a guest network. Logo files must be PNG, JPEG or WebP, at most 1 MB and 2,048 pixels per side.

L, M, Q and H can recover roughly 7%, 15%, 25% and 30% of codewords. These percentages do not describe a safe area to hide under a logo. Higher correction makes a denser code. M is a useful default for clean prints; a centered logo forces H.
