A WhatsApp click-to-chat link uses wa.me and an international phone number. Choose one of 15 calling codes or enter a number with + or 00. The generator checks length and trunk-prefix rules, encodes the message, and creates a QR code and website button locally. The visitor chooses whether to send it. Account availability is not checked.

How to use this tool

Use the international number
Choose a supported calling code and enter the national number, or include + or 00 with a full international number. The link contains digits only. National trunk prefixes are removed where appropriate; meaningful zeroes inside the number and Italian landline zeroes are kept. A full international number containing a national trunk prefix is rejected rather than guessed.
Copy the link or button
Choose a short wa.me link or api.whatsapp.com/send with a phone parameter. The message preview shows decoded URL text. Copy or download the link, customize a safely escaped button label and save its HTML, or download the static QR as SVG or 512-pixel PNG. The message cap of 200 UTF-16 units keeps QR codes readable. Emoji may use more than one unit. Scan the code and check the destination before publishing.
Use it on your Business Profile
For a claimed and verified Google Business Profile with Chat available, choose Edit profile, Contact, Chat and WhatsApp, then paste the link. Availability varies by region and profile. Use your business number. Adding a link does not itself send a message or change your profile.

Questions before you start

An explicit + or 00 prefix makes the number international and overrides the picker. The detected calling code is shown beside the normalized number. A number without an international prefix uses the selected country. Unsupported codes and extensions are rejected.

No. Opening the link starts a chat with a draft. The visitor chooses whether to edit and send it. Generating or copying the link makes no request to WhatsApp.

The country picker lists supported calling codes and basic national length checks. It does not confirm ownership, carrier, mobile status or an active WhatsApp account. Explicit international numbers must use a supported code. Check the final number and scan the QR code before sharing.
