We asked ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini the four questions a buyer asks when looking for car brands in Germany, three times each (Claude once), in German, and counted who they named. These are the businesses named in two or more of the 28 answers.

Asked for car brands in Germany, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini most often named Škoda (79% of answers), Toyota (71%) and Hyundai (57%). Across 28 answers they named 16 different businesses, 1 of them only once. Each of four buyer questions was asked three times (Claude once), in German, in October 2026.
