Google Business description generator

This Google Business description generator turns your own facts into three drafts within the 750 character limit, previews the opening and checks any description against Google’s rules.

Free, no sign-up. Everything runs in your browser, and nothing you type is sent.

Your drafts

Add your business name and what you offer, then write drafts. The more facts you add, the fuller each draft.

A Google Business Profile description says what you offer, what makes you different, how long you have been open and anything else customers need, in 750 characters or fewer. Google does not allow links, HTML or a focus on prices and promotions. This free generator fills drafts from your facts only and checks them.

How to use this tool

Add your facts
Enter your business name and what you offer, then the details Google suggests: what makes you different, how long you have been in business and anything else customers find useful. Write only what you can stand behind.
Compare three tones
Each draft is a template filled with your words, so nothing is invented. Edit any draft: the counter, the preview of the first 250 characters and the checks update as you type.
Check, then paste into your profile
Paste an existing description into the checker to find links, HTML, prices, promotions and words in capitals. Then edit the description in your Business Profile. Google reviews changes before they go live.

Guidelines for representing your business on Google

Questions before you start

Up to 750 characters, according to Google’s help page on editing a Business Profile. Google does not say how much shows before the text is cut, so the tool previews the first 250 characters as a guide. Put what you offer and where in the opening.

Not a website: Google allows no links of any type in the description. Google’s guidelines do allow contact details for your own business, but the profile already has phone and website fields, so the description can spend its characters on what you do.

Google asks for details about the business rather than promotions, prices or sales, and lists “Everything on sale” as an example of content that is not allowed. Put offers in an offer post instead. The Google Business post generator builds one.

Wording alone does not decide your ranking or whether an AI assistant mentions you. A clear description helps people who read your profile decide, and it gives search engines and AI assistants accurate words about what you do.

An AI model can add awards, years or guarantees you never gave. These drafts reuse only the facts you type, in three tones and in the page language, and they run in your browser with no account.

The free visibility scan checks AI answers for your business and explains what to work on next. Accurate listings and clear descriptions are a good start, though no tool can promise rankings or mentions.
