Review reply generator

Use this review reply generator to draft a response to customer feedback. Choose the stars, topics, tone, language and length, then edit and copy a reply.

Free, no sign-up. Templates run in your browser, with no AI calls.

A useful review reply thanks the customer, acknowledges their feedback and keeps personal details private. Use this free generator to create three short drafts from templates for one to five stars. Add the reviewer’s public name and your business details, check every sentence, then post your chosen reply yourself in your Google Business Profile.

Paste a review or just choose stars. Without stars, replies stay neutral. Review text is never quoted.

Personalise the reply (optional)

Keyword matching can miss the point. Choose the topic yourself if needed.

Additional topics (up to three)

Add a short, true sentence in this page’s language. Leave out private details and promises you cannot keep.

Three different drafts, ready as soon as you generate. No account, no waiting for an AI model.

For a positive review
Thank the customer. Keep it personal and brief.
For a complaint
Acknowledge the concern. Invite private contact without arguing or promising a refund.
For every reply
Use public details only. Edit the draft so it sounds like you.

How to reply to a Google review

Paste a review or choose the stars
You can use a star rating without review text. If you paste text without stars, the drafts stay neutral. The tool recognises a few common topics from keywords, but does not analyse sentiment or understand the full review. Choose or remove the topic yourself if it is wrong.
Make it yours
Pick a tone, use only the reviewer’s public display name and add your business name. You can add one short, true sentence in the page’s language. Never include order numbers, health details, private contact information or a promise you cannot keep. The pasted review is never quoted in the drafts.
Edit, check and post
Choose one draft and edit it before copying. Keep it brief and conversational. For a complaint, acknowledge the experience and invite direct contact by phone or email. Post it yourself from Read reviews, then Reply, in your verified Google Business Profile. This tool never posts for you.

Why replying matters for local search and AI recommendations

A reply shows future customers how you handle feedback. Google recommends short, polite replies that protect privacy. For a complaint, take the detailed conversation offline.

Google says review counts and positive ratings can help local ranking. That is not a promise that replying alone improves your position. Keep your business information accurate and respond because the customer deserves an answer.

Public reviews and replies give readers context about a business. AI assistants may use different sources and may never see a particular reply. Treat replying as customer care, not a way to guarantee an AI mention.

Before you publish or send

  • Do not offer money, discounts or gifts for a Google review, change or removal.
  • Do not send only satisfied customers to the public review page. Ask consistently without screening by rating.
  • Do not include order numbers, health details, private contact information or claims you cannot verify.
  • Do not write a customer review for them, pressure them for five stars or promise a ranking result.

If a review appears fake

A low rating alone is not a policy violation. Save the review link and identify the specific rule it breaks. In your Business Profile, open Read reviews, choose the review menu and Report review. Track it in Google’s Reviews Management Tool. If eligible, use its one-time appeal. Avoid public accusations or repeated reports.

Google: reporting and appealing reviews

US: the FTC rule prohibits fake reviews, sentiment-conditioned incentives and specified review suppression. Google’s policy is stricter about review incentives. EU: when you display consumer reviews, disclose whether and how you verify that reviewers bought or used the service. Do not claim verified reviews without reasonable checks, commission fake reviews or misrepresent endorsements. National implementations also apply.

Policy sources checked: 2026-10-12. Read the current rules for your platform and country.

Review reply questions

Yes. You can generate and copy three drafts as often as you need, with no account or daily limit. The templates run in your browser. Your review text and business details are not sent to an AI model or our API.

Thank the reviewer, acknowledge their concern and apologise when appropriate. Keep the reply short and polite. Invite them to contact you directly so you can discuss the details privately. Avoid arguing, sharing personal information, promising an unapproved refund or asking them to remove the review.

Yes. Select the rating and a tone. For a positive rating, a short thank-you is enough. For a low rating, invite the customer to contact you privately if they would like to share more. Do not invent details about their experience.

Google says helpful replies show customers that you value their feedback. It also says review counts and positive ratings can help local ranking. This does not establish that owner replies alone raise rankings. Replies add public context for readers; an AI assistant may or may not use that context. No reply template can guarantee an AI recommendation.

Yes. Choose a draft language: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian or Polish. The page language remains unchanged. Names and your own sentence are not translated, so write that sentence in the intended language.

No. It combines fixed templates with the stars, tone and public details you choose. Keyword matching can suggest a topic, but cannot understand nuance, sarcasm or the facts of a complaint. You must check and edit every draft. Nothing connects to Google or publishes a reply.
