We asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok the four questions a buyer asks when looking for accounting software in the United States, three times each, in English, and counted who they named. These are the businesses named in two or more of the 48 answers.

Asked for accounting software in the United States, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok most often named QuickBooks (100% of answers), FreshBooks (100%) and Xero (88%). Across 48 answers they named 9 different businesses, 2 of them only once. Each of four buyer questions was asked three times, in English, in September 2026.
