How AI assistants recommend dermatologists
A patient who asks an AI assistant for a dermatologist gets a few names, and a different few from the next assistant. Here is what they answered in every city the AIGROW Index asked, and what a clinic can work on.

The first two rows are counts; the rows under them are medians over the ranked pages. Every question was asked without a location or a chat history.
Asked for a dermatologist in 88 cities, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini named about 31 clinics per city, and 50% of those names came up only once. Each assistant builds its list from what is published about a clinic. What a clinic controls is that public record: its treatments, its doctors and its listings.

- Who is the best dermatologist in New York?
- I have acne and want to see a dermatologist in New York. Who would you recommend?
- Which dermatology clinic in New York does mole checks?
- Which dermatologist in New York would you recommend for laser treatments?

What an owner can work on
No one can promise a place in an assistant’s answer. What an owner controls is what is published about the business, and these are the parts the questions above point to.
A page for each treatment
The questions ask about acne, mole checks and laser treatments. A page for each you offer, saying what it involves and who does it, matches the way patients ask.
Your doctors by name
Profiles of your dermatologists, with their qualifications and interests, kept the same on your site and in health directories, give an assistant facts to repeat.
Medical and cosmetic apart
A mole check and a laser treatment are different visits. Say clearly which you do, and how to book each.
Every ranking for this trade
The AIGROW Index publishes the ranking of each place with every answer, and how it was measured.
